Hunters & Guides Africa has access to some of the best hunting areas in Southern Africa, areas which offer exceptional trophy quality. We pride ourselves on our personalised service and attention to detail. With over 45 species to choose from, including some of the Big Five, we tailor safaris specifically designed to suit your individual needs.

CAMPS AND AREAS
Because all your chosen species are not likely to be found in one area, it is necessary to plan your safari according to your trophy requirements.Specialized Safaris may require movements to a number of different camps and areas. Clients will be advised of these changes and individual descriptions of the camps and areas will be given. They are comfortable and cater for your every need. Laundry is done every day. As far as possible we will ensure exclusivity in the camps and areas.

LIMPOPO
The Limpopo Province is close to the Kruger National Park, the heart of South Africa's big game areas.

Kudu, Eland, Waterbuck, Gemsbuck, Nyala, Blue Wildebeest, Zebra, Impala, Giraffe, Red Hartebeest, Bushbuck and Warthog all occur in good numbers and hunters can expect to shoot good quality trophies.

Hunters are accommodated in the luxurious Baobab lodge, which boasts a 360 degrees panoramic view of the Lowveld and nearby Sekekuneland Mountains. The sleeping quarters consist of luxury private cottages each incorporating traditional African interior décor adding to your safari experience. Meals are enjoyed either on the wooden deck overlooking the Lowveld or in the grand dining room decorated with trophies from successful hunts of the past. Hunters returning from a hard day in the field can relax and enjoy the sounds of the African night while having a drink around the open fire reflecting on their day's experience.

EASTERN CAPE
The Eastern Cape has a wonderful climate, which consists of warm days, cool nights and the occasional snow in winter. Due to the favorable climate you find rarities such as Buffalo, Bontebok, Vaal Rhebuck, Black Wildebeest, Lechwe, Nyala, Gemsbuck, Giraffe, Eastern Cape Kudu and Cape Mountain Zebra. An added advantage is that the area is Malaria free.

Due to the areas being well managed, game is abundant. This makes it unnecessary to participate in arduous long drives between areas. Your valuable time is therefore spent hunting and experiencing the joys of the African bush with its abundance of game. During your hunt you will stay in comfortable lodges where you will enjoy delicious local cuisine.

DURATION OF SAFARI
It is often the case that some hunters try to do too much in too short a period of time. Once we know which animals you want to hunt, we suggest how much time you would need. We recommend that you spend roughly 1 week in each hunting area to obtain a full bag. Our average South African safari is 12 to 18 days.

To obtain a full bag of the trophies we have available, a safari of at least 21 days is required. All our safaris are carefully planned to meet the exact requirements of each individual client and are normally booked at least a year in advance. There is no specific hunting season but April to October is the best time. We plan your Safari specifically according to your trophy selection from the species on offer.

HUNTING LICENCES AND EXPORT OF TROPHIES
Hunting licences are obtained for you and are included in the trophy fee. We do not have any hidden charges. Some species require a CITES import and export permit. We will assist you with these once your Safari is confirmed. We automatically arrange comprehensive insurance on your behalf for your trophies while they are in transit.

TRAVEL INFORMATION AND FIREARMS
In addition to a valid passport, South Africa generally requires an entry visa, however, you should consult your travel agency beforehand regarding this. There are no health hazards in South Africa and therefore no inoculations are required. Prior to your departure we will put you in touch with our agent in order for you to obtain your temporary import firearms permit prior to your arrival in South Africa. You will be met by an agent and have your rifles cleared hassle-free.

Unless you will be hunting one of the Big 5, we recommend any calibre in the .270-.300 ranges. A good variable scope is essential. Transportation is by hunting car, but in some instances we will suggest a private charter to save hunting time. Major centres offer several scheduled flights per day.
