CAMPS AND AREAS

Because all your chosen species are not likely to be found in one area, it is necessary to plan your safari according to your trophy requirements. The 2 areas of our focus are a Cahora Bassa Concession in the Tete Province and Niassa Concessions in the Niassa Province. Camps are tented ,comfortable and cater for your every need as far as possible.

HUNTING LICENCES AND EXPORT OF TROPHIES

Hunting licences are obtained for you and are included in the trophy fee. We do not have any hidden charges. Some species require a CITES import and export permit. We will assist you with these once your Safari is confirmed.
Please note that due to slow government office administration it will take a longer period of time for your trophies to reach you. We have a very good shipping agent based in Johannesburg with all facilities for trophy handing and safe storage in Mozambique, but they can only move as fast as the bureaucracy will allow.

Bordering the Lugenda River the area is without doubt one off the most geographically impressive areas that any hunter to Africa could wish to experience, bisected by sand rivers and dotted with huge granite Isobergs the visual aspect of this area is unique in Africa. The variety of species available to the hunter is equally impressive with an excellent success rate on Leopard and Lion in addition to quality buffalo and a wide variety of plains game to include: Roosevelt Sable, Lichtenstein Hartebeest, Nyasa Wildebeest, Boehmes Zebra, Johnstons Impala, Waterbuck, Kudu, Chobe Bushbuck, Livingstone Eland, Crocodile, Reedbuck, Suni , Red Duiker, Hyena , Bushpig and Warthog .

Hunters and Guides, again in conjuction with the concession holders of this concession on the shores of Lake Cahora Bassa can offer our clients, quality hunting for a variety of species but in particular the opportunity at large Nile Crocodile. This area is situated in the Northern Tete province and borders Zimbabwe in the West and South, and the Zambezi River and Lake Cahora Bassa to the North. The concession is almost one million acres in extent and home to populations of both soft skinned and big game animals. The area has very diverse habitats, ranging from Cathedral mopane and Jesse bush, to riverine forest and alluvial floodplain. It supports healthy populations of plains game, including Sable, Waterbuck and Roan, as well as other typical Zambezi valley animals such as Kudu, Zebra, Impala, Bushbuck, Warthog, Duiker and Grysbok. Elephant and Buffalo are abundant in the concession, which is also renowned for its good cat populations. The vast expanse of water (160km northern boundary) is home to large numbers of Hippo and Crocodile. The prime hunting species offered in this unspoiled wilderness include Elephant, Cape buffalo, Sable, Leopard, Lion, Crocodile and Hippo. Note that Elephant trophies may not be imported into the United States at this time. There are also good quality Bushbuck and Livingstone Eland. The climate is variable with the cool season from April to August when temperatures range from 20 degrees to 30 degrees Centigrade, rising to highs of up to 42 degrees Centigrade in October. The camps are very comfortable, some East African tented and some typical brick under thatch.
